Welcome to Sasebo Before Dark.

I always had this feeling that there is only one translator in Japan. I mean that same guy must travel from Hokkaido to Kyuushu translating all the signs. More than likely all of you who lived here or stayed here long enough knows exactly what I am talking about.

In most countries, signs are made to help people. People rely on signs. They provide directions and information. Well, they do in Japan as well, but at times no one knows what the directions or information is about.

Take a look at this one.

Next time any of you goes "Balloom Dancing", let me know what the hell it is.

Here is a little snack restaurant you might want to patronize.

You gotta wonder if any of the locals drop in the the JAP restaurant.

In the mood for a little kick 'em juice with your jazz?

Here is a nice place to drop into.

Someone want to translate the English into English for me here please.

Maybe we could go here after the booze and jazz.

Anyone in for some great gum? Guess it must be some great taste experience.

And last, here is one unmistakable sign. One that is prevalent not only in Japan, but when a sign is as prominent as this one, you need no translation (one sure sign).

It's a sure sign that that ol' boy has had a little too much to drink.
